Sierra Dream began creating her handmade spider ornaments about 10 years ago. The inspiration for making these sparkling crystal arachnids initially came from wanting to design a unique Halloween decoration to hang around the house and give as gifts. Countless Sierra Dream spiders were created before stumbling across a folklore online called “The Legend of the Christmas Spider.” (Note: There are an endless number of secular and nonsecular versions of the folklore but is believed to have originated in the Ukraine.) After this discovery, Sierra Dream decided to add a collection of Christmas spiders with a printed version of the folklore inside the gift box to her lineup of bejeweled arachnids for sale.
